Parent Web Portal Summary

As part of our continuing effort to provide real time access to information about your child, the Gideon School District has implemented a parent web portal for parents.  This is a secure portal that requires a login name and password in order for you to have access to information.  The portal will provide access to information about the many services and programs provided by our district as well as specific and secure educational information about your child.  The portal is configurable and we will add modules and information from time to time.  You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child or have legal rights to this information in order for parent portal access to be granted.  A request must be made for each parent who desires access.

The following information will be available through the parent web portal:

• Course information such as courses taken, teacher, assignments, grades on assignments, and quarter and semester grades
• Attendance information such as an attendance summary by quarter and a breakdown of days missed and the type of absence
• Discipline information such as a summary of discipline information and brief details about the incident and discipline
• Lunch and Breakfast information such as balance due and account details showing lunch and breakfast purchases and charges
• Transcript information that will provide grade history for high school students as well as the ability to print an unofficial transcript
• Assessment information that will detail the major state and national assessments taken and provide a summary of your child’s performance on those assessments
• A summary of the emergency contact information we have on file and the ability to update that emergency contact information for the district has the most current information
• Access to an IEP for your child if such a document exists and is in final form
• The ability to do an online update of address, telephone, email addresses, and other information will be activated at various times.

Additional information may be added to the portal in the future.

The Gideon School District provides this access as a convenience to students and parents.  Every effort is made to insure the accuracy of the information presented, but we cannot guarantee that accuracy at all times.  This is not an official record but is for informational purposes only.  If you have questions about the data displayed, you may contact your child’s teacher or the appropriate building office.
