A+ Program Gideon School District #37
Gideon has been designated an A+ School. The
graduating class of
1997 was the first eligible class to receive the A+ grant. The A+
grant will pay tuition costs to any Missouri public two-year
vocational, technical or community
college for students who have met the following qualifications:
Students must attend GHS or an approved A+school for 3 years prior to graduation.
Students must have a minimum of a C+ grade point average- 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Students must perform 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring of younger students.
Students maintain a record of good citizenship. Gideon follows the High School
Athletic Association definition of good citizenship. Simply put, any student action
that requires administrative corrective action could place the student in peril of losing
Students must first attempt to secure federal financial aid. That is the FAFSA Form.
Students must have a minimum attendance record of 95% or better during
four years of high school .
